Description
On April 6, 1901, much of Lisbon Falls was reduced to ashes as a result of the Great Fire. This image dipicts the town following the fire, and shows us the distruction the disaster left in its wake. All that remains are ashes and the remnants of a train line that traversed through a once bustling downtown business district. In total, 31 buildings were destroyed and 50 families were left homeless as a reult of the event.
